I was lucky enough to “meet” the very talented and kind Kellie, of 74 Lime Lane this summer. Not only does Kellie have a really great blog, she’s also got an Etsy Shop stocked with her own original prints. Kellie calls Australia home, and somehow finds the time to not only work as a graphic designer, journalist and photographer, but she’s also a wife and mom to two boys! There are so many great photos in her shop to choose from – I’ve got my eye on both the teacups and the pictures of vintage cameras.
Click here to visit her Etsy Shop, and here to visit her blog.

Here to share just one word today! Love. It’s our 5th wedding anniversary so I’m putting the final touches on plans for an evening out and getting a bit of work done too. Here are some sweet photos I found – I wish every day was an anniversary or Valentine’s Day. So much fun. Hope your long weekend is great!

Many of you may already be familiar with the beautiful work of Myan Photography – I stumbled upon it again last night and thought I’d post about it today. It sure fits my current mood and I’m guessing it might fit yours too! For me, the last place I want to be these days is at the computer, and these photos help remind me where I ought to be as often as possible, since it is summer after all. As I see it, these photos perfectly capture the most beautiful sun drenched moments each summer seems to bring.
It’s a great time to get some pieces from the shop, I noticed one sale item in particular that piqued my interest – you can get a special offer when you purchase any 4 5×5 or 5×7 prints. Perfect pieces to remember summer 2010 by.

My busy season is winding down and it couldn’t come at a more perfect time. My eyes are heavy and really the most appealing thing right now to me is a nap, or two, or three! Some exciting things are on the horizon that I can’t wait to share with you though. Lots of news and things in the works that will be posted over the next few days and the next couple of weeks…
On to today’s post – around my office you’ll find a lot of photography – all purchased on Etsy. I’m consistently blown away by the talent I find there. All from independent artists and really, very reasonably priced.
Some searching on Etsy today led me to Sixth and Main’s new shop – and from there I knew with the warm weather we’re having here, that even through my tiredness it’s time to celebrate the new summer season that’s almost upon us…
I think all of the prints below would brighten up a kitchen perfectly.

The photo above is from Sixth and Main – a passionate photographer and painter who now calls LA home. Her work can also be found in this book, She’s a Rainbow, featuring the female photographers of Etsy, which I’d really like to own too.

This next photo is from the very talented Shannon Blue, a self taught photographer, who after becoming a mother discovered her love for taking photos.

Maria Kallin loves colors and she brings her own very beautiful point of view to all of her work.

Sweet Eventide was recently featured on Vicki’s blog: Click here to visit the shop.
Photographer and blogger Vicki Dvorak recently wrote to let me know about the new look at her blog – Simply Hue. I’ve got to say it’s just gorgeous! Her blog has recently taken on a new focus – and even more of her posts will now feature artists and designers. I’m really enjoying the new concept – click here to take a peek.

I found these romantic photos from Kristy Bee recently on Etsy. Do you ever look at an artists work and want to be part of the world they’ve created? It happens to me a lot.
It only takes a minute and I’m daydreaming about the future or remembering favorite moments from the past. Kristy has loved photography for many years and with each of her photos she looks to find beauty in ordinary life – I think she’s done a wonderful job of achieving this.
On a side note – how’s your week going so far? My computer “challenges” from last week actually gave me some insight – made me realize some negative thinking that had creeped into my life without me even realizing it. When you’re a web designer deadlines pop up here and there – really very unexpectedly. I’ve gotten used to this over the years. But I realized at some point I gave up on the possibility of actually getting ahead of schedule with my work. Sure it’s not possible all the time but I think with the right outlook it’s more possible than I previously thought. And that is pushing me forward this week!

I love the look of Hey Zee’s world. Something about it makes me daydream – I think of cotton candy and cupcakes first, and then of time spent crafting and on artistic pursuits. From there I think of tea with friends and Alice in Wonderland and days spent at the fair.
It’s the kind of work that makes you feel like it’s ok to embrace a love for all things pink, girly, feminine and soft and not apologize for it!

Toronto photographer Leslie Thomson’s beautiful photos are perfect to take us into the weekend. For Leslie, photography allows her to create the world she dreams of.
With photoshop at the ready she has a wonderful way of taking real life to the next level – I think the results are beautiful.
A couple of the above photos remind me very much of my time living in Toronto, but transforms my memories of those months and somehow makes them even more special. Fun times at the cottage with friends, family coming to visit from the States on the weekends. It was a great summer in an unfamiliar city.
On that note – I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
