DIY Roundup

August 6, 2010

We’re breathing a sigh of relief around here – as it looks like we’ll be getting a bit of rain this weekend! Just enough to cool things off before we return to the heat. Found this roundup of DIY’s on Martha Stewart’s site, perfect for a rainy weekend.

printable cards

Looking for printable cards or sweet party decor? As always Etsy is your go to site- they’ve got a great variety to add an extra little pop of fun to all different kinds of events – weddings, birthday parties, showers, you name it. I love the printable cards from Swoon Creative and I was drawn in by Green Apple Paperie’s selection of candy tags from moment one. And to all the Canadians out there – hope you’re having a wonderful Canada Day!

Summer Decorating DIY’s and Handmade Finds

June 24, 2010

Summer DIY’s & Handmade Decorations

I’m guessing you’re hosting at least one event at your place this summer, either a barbecue or baby shower or something along those lines! Even if you decide not to go all out with the decorations, there are lots of sweet DIY’s and wonderful handmade items to be found. Adding a simple bunting or lovely cakestand is enough to give any gathering a special feeling without feeling pressured to decorate to the 9’s.

DIY – Living Table

June 2, 2010

diy flower table

I’m a big fan of this sweet little diy! Can you imagine your guests faces at first when seeing this flower? I’m also thinking you could try something fun with a few flowers – even creating some kind of permanent “installation piece” ;) on your own dining room table. I think it could be a really fun way to “dress up” a side table too.

And happy Wednesday!
