These photos make it pretty clear to me that it’s just about time for a trip to the beach! This house just looks so cozy to me – and the cloudy skies, refreshing. The rest of the photos from this space are available here, on House Beautiful.

I came upon this sweet treasury on Etsy a few days ago and knew I wanted to share it. Have you seen the movie Up? I loved it – and this treasury makes me think I should watch it again.

Dessert Installation Art
Here on the West Coast it’s shaping up to be one of the hottest days of the summer. Just yesterday a family member sent me a picture of a melting ice cream truck (seen below) – and voila, inspiration for today’s post!

If you like homes that are decorated brightly and cheerfully, like I do, Mi Casa Revista never disappoints. Browsing through their site today I came across this fun home – loving the bright pops of red and unique details.
Hope your weekend is wonderful!

Today I’ve got my eyes on these sweet little pouches and clutches from Seaoats. Shop owner Malina does her best to use upcycled and recycled materials whenever possible and I’ve got to say her efforts result in some really gorgeous bags! Click here to visit her shop.

Is it alright that I miss the rain? Kind of strange for me as the number of times I’ve considered moving to California, just for the weather, can’t be counted on two hands.
Have you seen the work of Pavel Sidorenko already? I spotted in on the Cargoh blog recently and I’ve got to say it’s pretty neat. Pavel reworks old records and from them he creates some really fun clocks. To check out the whole collection click here.

Love indie fashion? You’ll want to check out Jesse Smith’s latest collection. With recent news reports chock full of concerns about the environment, it’s wonderful to hear about a designer like Jesse. It’s clear eco-friendliness is high on her list of priorities – each of her garments is sustainably produced here in Vancouver, using fabric that has been imported from Europe. Take a look at her latest collection here.

Some beach wedding inspiration for your Monday! I always say how I’d love to get married again (to the same guy of course) – as a wedding is the best kind of party I know. Exciting news for our family this weekend, as my cousin (who is also a great friend of mine) got engaged! Inspired by that, I’ve gathered some beach wedding inspiration from Etsy.

We’re breathing a sigh of relief around here – as it looks like we’ll be getting a bit of rain this weekend! Just enough to cool things off before we return to the heat. Found this roundup of DIY’s on Martha Stewart’s site, perfect for a rainy weekend.
