What Summer Means to You

June 16, 2010

I thought’d it be fun today to consider what summer means to each of us… I’ve gathered a few images from here and there that make me think of summer days and evenings around the home and design trends that go along with each. The below represent some of my favorite ways to spend longer days at a much slower pace than the rest of the year. I know for many of us we could write sonnets and songs dedicated to summer because we love it so much – but for others, they prefer another time of year and might skip summer altogether if given the choice!

Summer means long long evenings spent by the campfire. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on the deck. BBQ every night. Packing up the trailer for camping excursions. Lots of hiking and bike riding and park playing. Basically, anything outdoors :)

P.S. My oldest daughter (4 yold) insists that the sun is too bright, and wore a coat on our walk today. She likes winter.
