Today I’m inspired by Alexander von Humboldt’s new botanical book: “Botanical Exploration of the America’s” which I spotted over on Cool Hunting. I’m happy to see the botany trend continue on the blogs and in design – every time I see an item inspired by it, it reminds me to make some time to get outside – and of the simpler pleasures in life. Hope you had a great weekend – I was happy to be able to spend some time with the new paint and the art supplies that I got on Friday! Would love to hear about your weekend projects or happenings…

I don’t know about you – but I feel like having an inspiring place in your home where you can work and create that’s all yours is a wonderful thing. For me it’s my office, and especially the area around my desk – whether I’m working on a new design for a client or a fresh blog post it’s nice to be surrounded by beautiful things. Do you love this house as much as I do? My only concern – curtains… Not sure how that would work out here.

Wonder how this space would look on a snowy day? Pretty unreal I imagine!
